Last night I fell asleep almost instantaneously as I meditated about Rom 1:17 "For in the Gospel a righteousness which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith]. As it is written, The man who through faith is just and upright shall live and shall live by faith." I am constantly reminded by satan of how bad I am and all the mistakes that I make on a daily basis. I hear other mature christians talk about how righteous they are and I used to think, wow, they don't have the sin in their life that I do in mine. Then I ran into this scripture and it tells me that I am made righteous in the sight of God by my faith in Jesus Christ as my saviour, not by works or by anything else that I could do, for the Gospel (good news) of Jesus is that He paid that price of death for our sins when He died on the cross, then God raised Him up from the dead and took Him into heaven. I can now say that I have been made righteous in the sight of God by the blood of Jesus Christ!!!
